LaserPacific Sound Services is a complete digital sound post facility featuring
state-of-the-art digital Sound Design, Editing, ADR, Foley and Mixing.
The transfer department is equipped with Protools HDII and WaveFrame digital audio workstations, providing
audio transfers from CD, DVD, Firewire drives, DAT, 1/4” audiotape, 1/2” digital audiotape, 2” 24-track
as well as 35mm mag.
Stage ‘F’ consists of a 30’ x 20’ studio with a 20’ x 10’ producer/recordist
glass booth. Stage F is ideal for both principal and group ADR recording. It can accommodate either Digibeta, Beta
SP, 3/4” or S-VHS video picture sources. We project onto a 120” screen and also have four 27” Sony
monitors for close-up sync monitoring. All audio is recorded directly into a WaveFrame digital workstation as well
as onto a timecoded DAT for backup protection. After a session, the ADR or Foley may be converted to OMF or ProTools
files if desired. Files may also be backed up onto a firewire drive, CD, DVD or M/O disc for workstation input. The
audio may also be digitally transferred onto a DA-88 or timecoded DAT. We can also print cue sheets for the final mix
session.
Stage ’C’ is a 33’ x 33’ studio designed with speed in mind. This re-recording stage
is equipped with a completely digital Digidesign ICON mixing console. We offer complete audio soundtracks from stereo
surround to 5.1 audio. All sound elements are played out of 24-track ProTools and WaveFrame digital workstations. These
workstations are located directly on the stage so all audio can be accessed at any time during the mix session. On
Stage C, the video source is projected onto a 90” x 160” screen by a DLP video projector. It can accommodate
either Digibeta, Beta SP, 3/4” or S-VHS video picture sources.
Stage ‘E’ consists of a 25’x15’ room that accommodates smaller mixing sessions. It
has a Dolby surround sound system with 35mm film projection onto a 120” x 66” screen. This environment
has the capability to screen 1/2”, 3/4”, Beta SP, Digibeta, DVD or HD videotape with complete motion &
volume control in the room. Stage ‘E’ also provides a comfortable environment for screenings, spotting
sessions or videotape laybacks. |
