POSITION TITLE:
Telecine Dailies Colorist

REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be familiar with the following:
  • Spirit 1 telecines
  • Davinci 2k or Pogel color correctors
  • Evertz tracker
  • Standard color correction practices
  • Image enhancement and noise reduction
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Telecine Dailies Colorist is responsible for the accurate transfer of film to tape and data, ensuring image quality and meeting client expectations for color. The Colorist must ensure proper set-up of the bay for sizing, focus and shading, proper interpretation of color according to the client's expectations, and proper framing and transfer to the prescribed specs.  It is the responsibility of the Colorist to communicate to Operations any problems with materials or production.  The Colorist must interact positively with clients and other team members, and communicate the status of sessions with Operations.  In addition to creating accurate negative reports and flex logs, the Colorist must leave the work environment in an orderly fashion and a ready state for later sessions.  A Telecine Dailies Colorist must be available for swing and graveyard shifts.
