LaserPacific's trailer division uses cutting-edge technology to meet the needs of the most demanding clients.

LaserPacific’s trailer client list includes the industry’s biggest names, including Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros, MGM, Disney and Focus Features. Trailers are finished for both 35MM and Digital Cinema theatrical release, as well as for all video deliverables, including high and standard definition television, DVD, and the Internet.

Trailers have always demanded the highest quality on a tight schedule. Now digital technology enables the studios to deliver multiple versions of a trailer, each one unique to a continent or even a country. For Oliver Stone's World Trade Center, LaserPacific delivered fifty different versions. The compressed schedules for trailers mean that a  facility must be prepared to do whatever it takes to deliver all these versions on time. LaserPacific is often asked to turn around a trailer in two or three days – workflow efficiency becomes critical to meeting these deadlines. At LaserPacific we use Autodesk's Smoke™ for conform, graphics and visual effects and Autodesk's Lustre™ for color grading. Wiretap is used to share media and metadata between Smoke™ and Lustre™.  Last minute changes always happen with trailer finishing and the seamless integration of Smoke™ and Lustre™ makes our job less stressful and our clients happy.

Our team is ready to handle both the deadlines and creativity required to deliver trailers. The combination of Smoke™ and Lustre™ provides an extremely robust and efficient pipeline. “Last year we worked on a trailer for El Cantante, starring Jennifer Lopez and Mark Anthony,” says Leon Silverman by way of example. “In a two minute trailer, there were over 150 cuts. That’s more than one per second, with color looks and many effects to boot. The ability to move back and forth from Smoke and Lustre, tracking grading and editorial changes along the way, was absolutely crucial.”
