During its sixth season, One Tree Hill will explore the journeys of its beloved characters as they face the exciting possibility of dreams come true and the heartbreaking reality that being an adult isn’t as easy as it seems. The sixth season deals with themes of love, longing and loss as new relationships begin, others end, and through it all, these friends realize that life always leads you right where you belong.

Post production chores on this show are handled by Co-Producer Maureen Milligan who oversees the Los Angeles-based editorial and post production for this series which is shot in Willmington, North Carolina. Each day's film is shipped from location to Hollywood where the Super16mm film is processed by LaserPacific's Motion Picture Film Laboratory for overnight film transfer and preparation for editorial. LaserPacific dailies colorist Jaynee Thorne has long been the eyes of the set and has helped to create the rich look of this show each day in telecine. The show is conformed using our exclusive SuperComputer2.0 with Nitris for assembly.

Mark Schwann is often asked why the show is called One Tree Hill when the town's name is Tree Hill. He replies by quoting character Karen Roe (Moira Kelly) who plays Lucas Scott's (Chad Michael Murray) mother, who tells Lucas during an episode in the first season - "There is only one Tree Hill - and it's your home." At LaserPacific we are so proud that One Tree Hill calls LaserPacific home.
