Daryn Okada, ASC brings third project in two years to LaserPacific

Directed by Neal Brennan (creator of the Comedy Central hit The Chappelle Show) and starring Jeremy Piven, The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard, tells the topical story of smooth-talking Don Ready's attempt to save a struggling car dealership from bankruptcy. It's the first feature film production from Will Ferrell and Adam McKay's Gary Sanchez Productions – LaserPacific also provides post production services on their HBO hit series Eastbound and Down.

Spring 2009 turned out to be a busy time for both Daryn Okada and LaserPacific, with Daryn  working on three projects almost simultaneously at LaserPacific. Whilst finishing Ghosts of Girlfriends Past with senior colorist Dave Cole, Okada was also working on the DI for The Goods: Live Hard Sell Hard and also a TV pilot, Eva Adams, both with senior colorist Mike Sowa. "Daryn is an absolute pleasure to work with", says Sowa, "he believes in collaboration, allowing me to grade the movie with his input, but not necessarily guiding every step even though he's in the grading theater with me throughout the process."

The Goods: Live Hard Sell Hard will be released by Paramount Vantage on August 14th 2009.
