Digital Cinema starts with properly preparing the files including the critical color transforms that create the Digital Cinema Distribution Master (DCDM). Utilizing our unique Kodak Color Science transforms, we take your image files into the Digital Cinema standard color space in what is known as "CAP" X'Y'Z'. From these files we meticulously encode the images into the JPEG 2000 standard that is required by the studio-sponsored Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) and Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) standard for digital cinema distribution. In addition, we can provide Key Delivery Messages which contain the keys necessary for theaters to unlock and play an encrypted Digital Cinema Package (DCP) based on your business rules and instructions. To ensure interoperability, we provide 100% QC of our packages on all the digital cinema servers used in exhibition. We can deliver your DCP overnight to any exhibitor in the US or Canada.
