| LaserPacific's New VFX Department |
|
LaserPacific has created an expanded visual effects capability designed to serve the needs of its television and feature film customers. LaserPacific has in the past provided its customers with "paint" and wire removal, a sort of "digital fix it shop" so to speak, but now, more complicated effects work and supervision is available through a new team headed by Mike Pryor, an experienced visual effects producer who will help LaserPacific's customers take advantage of this expanded capability and guide their projects to fruition. Pryor previously headed digital production at Jim Henson's Creature Shop and the Stan Winston Studio and has contributed to films such as Iron Man, Ocean's Eleven and Batman Begins. In addition, VFX designer Jason Wilson leads the creative aspect of visual effects for LaserPacific. Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Jason has over fifteen years of visual effects experience in commercials, television and film. "Clients can come to us for creative collaboration" explains Jason. "In the past, clients have relied on us to help solve problems after the fact. While we have become excellent creative problem solvers, we are now getting calls ahead of time to help guide their vision - to create something that's never been seen before."
