LaserPacific provides post production services for ASC/PGA Camera Assessment Series
LaserPacific, A Kodak Company, has a long history of close collaboration with the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC), as of course does our parent company, Kodak. When the ASC teamed up with the Producers Guild of America (PGA) to work together on a side-by-side assessment of seven of the latest digital motion picture cameras, LaserPacific was happy to provide post-production services for the test. The effort was spearheaded for the ASC by Technology Committee Chairman Curtis Clark, ASC. Revelations Entertainment provided production support, led by Lori McCreary. On the LaserPacific side, senior colorist Mike Sowa spearheaded the color grading with Doug Jaqua providing technical leadership and Rob Smith and his team supplying operational support.

LaserPacific's Mick Montgomery Wins Award From Producers' Guild of America |
Producers' Guild of America Recognizes The NoHo Show
When he's not working as the Director of Company Operations at LaserPacific, Mick Montgomery has been part of a team producing the webisode The NoHo Show (www.thenohoshow.com). The team celebrated the end of Season One by winning an award at the Producers' Challenge, a contest that was part of the first ever Produced By Conference. Mick Montgomery, Scott Phillips and John Schimke were awarded “Best Produced Webisode”, one of three awards handed out during the evening, which included a screening in front of members of the Producer’s Guild of America. Mick Montgomery, Producer, Writer and Director of Episode 1, said this about the award, “We had high hopes for the show going into the event. However, it doesn’t diminish how excited we are to win.”

When Vilmos Zsigmond, ASC needed to find a post production partner to work together on his very first movie that was not going to have film dailies, his choice was simple. Having worked with LaserPacific on his first digital intermediate, The Black Dahlia, he knew he could trust his images to LaserPacific. LaserPacific Nominated for Three HPA Awards and Wins for Television Color Grading and a Special Judge's Award for aIM Accurate Image System
At the 3rd Annual HPA Awards held November 6th at the Skirball Cultural Center, LaserPacific was recognized in a number of categories and took home awards in the key Color Grading for Television area and a special Judge's Award for Innovation and Creativity for our aIM Accurate Image System. LaserPacific colorist Joe Hathaway was awarded the HPA Award for Outstanding Color Grading - Television for his breakthrough, stunning work on the ABC show Pushing Daisies.
